GOLDEN BRAID

Treccia d’oro or Golden braid is a typical dessert of Crema territories prepared with flour, sugar, butter, egg, salt, brewer’s yeast, raisin and candied cedar and orange. The raisin inside the dessert not only is used for its flavour but it’s also used as a representation of coins, with the hope that tasting this delicious dessert would bring more money.
