TALEGGIO PDO

Taleggio cheese has a quadrangular shape and comes from a full-fat milk. Its ancient origin dates back to the X century in Val Taleggio area where farmers started to produce this cheese to stock the exceeding milk and to trade it with other products. With time, Taleggio production spread also in Po Valley territories and it became a popular product that holds its relevance still today.
