Pizzighettonese dairy was founded in 1938 when a few producers come together for the production and sale of dairy products. They start by producing Emmental cheese but nowadays their production has specialised also in Grana Padano and Provolone and in Provolone maxi sales format. The milk used by Pizzighettonese dairy comes from local farms in a radius of three kilometres.
